* Mac x Charlotte Olympia collection received for review consideration. As I can tell by the website everything in the collection is still in stock and the collection should be also in stores by now. I know red lipsticks are not everyones cup of tea but the packaging is so beautiful that even if you don’t wear reds that often it’s worth picking up at least one shade. I think the Mac x Charlotte Olympia collection is beautiful. Swatches L to R: Mac x Charlotte Olympia Cream Color Base in Golden Age, Mac x Charlotte Olympia lipstick in Starlett Scarlet The shade that I got goes really well with the lipstick so I get to match my lips with my nails. For an opaque look you need two coats and the nail polish lasted for around 5 days on my nails which rarely happens because my nails are prone to chipping. It’s my first time trying Mac nail polish and I have to say that I’m impressed by the formula. The packaging reminds me of the Louboutin nail polishes, meaning it has that similar longer handle. It’s so cute that I don’t want to use it!Īnd last but not least the MAC Studio Nail Lacquer in To Have or Have Not, a beautiful orange red shade. It has the signature print that comes with the collection and it’s definitely a piece that you keep. I have to admit that I picked the blotting film because of the packaging. It’s a great size makeup bag to take with you in your bag and I love the print and chic design. The other piece that I received is the beautiful makeup bag which doubles as a clutch.

If you have oily lids though and you’re prone to creasing I recommend using a primer before application. The formula is creamy but not sticky and stays well on the lids.
#CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA FOR MAC SKIN#
For lighter skin tones this would make a beautiful bronze cream eyeshadow but deeper skin tones can also use it as a highlighter. It’s a very pretty golden bronze shade that can be multipurpose but on the Mac website is listed as a cream eyeshadow. The Cream Color Base in Golden Age is described as a metallic antique bronze shade.

The packaging of the lipstick is just beautiful and definitely a collectors piece. If you’re familiar with MAC’s matte formula you know that it’s still comfortable to wear and it lasts very well on the lips. I can see some warm tones on my lips and the lipstick pulls some orange undertones on me and that’s actually my favorite kind of red so I’m in love with the shade. The lipstick in Starlett Scarlet is a beautiful true red shade with a matte finish. I received some pieces from the collection to test out : the lipstick in Starlett Scarlet, Cream Color Base in Golden Age, MAC Studio Nail Lacquer in To Have or Have Not, Blot Film and the makeup bag that comes in the collection. The MAC x Charlotte Olympia collection has different shades of red lipsticks and lip mixes, cream color bases, nail lacquers that are also different shades of red, brushes, blotting papers that have the cutest packaging and many more. I especially love the packaging of the lipsticks and the nail polishes, it just looks so glamorous and chic. The packaging of the limited edition collection has her signature gold spider’s web and clear lucite which I find very beautiful. Charlotte Olympia is known for her vintage aesthetics that embodies elegance and glamour that translates in to her designs. The collection is inspired by pinups, silver screen sirens and the bygone era of Hollywood glamour. MAC releases another great limited edition collection and collaboration with Charlotte Olympia, a famous British luxury footwear and bag designer.
